The cheese is made with ovine milk or with a mixture of ovine and caprine milk, the latter of which should not exceed 30%. The official designation for this hard table cheese notes the following production method: "The milk is coagulated with added rennet at 32-34 deg C in 30 minutes. The curd is then broken up and reheated to 45 deg C. Most of the whey is then removed and the curds are pressed in the bottom of the vat to form a compact mass. This is cut into pieces weighing between 5 and 7 kilos. The pieces are then placed on a bench and cut again to their final cheese size. They are then placed in special moulds, firmly pressed by hand, salted and taken to a ripening room where they remain for not less than 3 months. ❄️❄️ Perishables must be shipped using FedEx express shipping methods. Simit is generally served plain, or for breakfast with tea, fruit preserves, or cheese or ayran. Drinking tea with simit is traditional. full with Grape molasses and Ankara style (gevrek) Simit are a popular Turkish street food. Instead of being boiled like a bagel, the twisted circles of dough get a quick dip in diluted grape molasses before dredging in sesame seeds. The result is a crisp exterior and a light, delicate, and tender interior. It is the best breakfast in this world when accompanied by cheese, tomatoes, cucumber and a cup of tea. Although it's one of the best street foods in the country, it's possible to make it at home too.

Valbreso feta is a cheese that defies convention. Most people know this crumbly, white, sheep’s milk feta, as a traditionally Greek cheese. However, it can be found all across the Mediterranean region – much like olives and olive oils – with different nuances. This particular cheese comes from the South of France, and is made from the milk left over from Roquefort production, that smooth and delicious blue cheese. Valbreso is moist and creamy, with a rich flavor that is well-balanced in salt (unlike most commercial varieties, that are dry and salty), and is milder than most Greek fetas. This is definitely one of those cheese that will make you rethink good old feta! This cheese is great on its own, as a snacking cheese, but can also be used in salads, especially with tomatoes and olive oil. Bring to room temperature before serving. Pair with your favorite white wine blend.. ❄PERISHABLE ITEM❄❄ Perishable items must be shipped using FedEx Express shipping only. Because of Greece's less-than-fertile terrain, most of its cheeses are made from sheep's milk. Feta is, of course, the best-known Greek cheese, but fresh sheep's milk cheeses are common, as well. One of the most common of these ricotta-style cheeses is Myzithra. It has a Greek twist on the flavor and texture that most of the ricotta available in this country offers. The flavor is mild with hints of nuts, and the texture is dry and hard. This cheese works wonderfully in cooking, especially blended into pasta dishes. Our version of Myzithra is the pressed and dried version. It is similar to Italian Ricotta Salata and is a popular grating cheese in Greece. The cheese is quite crumbly and salty, so a little bit can add a lot of flavor to your dishes. Made from pasteurized sheep's milk. ❄️PERISHABLE ITEM❄️❄️ Perishables must be shipped using FedEx express shipping methods. One of the most popular cheeses in the world, Feta is prized for its creamy and crumbly texture and tangy, milky flavor. A pantry staple in almost every Mediterranean household - with roots dating back to antiquity - Greek Feta is the original and true Feta. As such, only Feta made in specific regions of Greece are accorded a PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) by the European Union. Krinos Greek Feta Cheese is made according to traditional methods from the milk of sheep grazing freely in the PDO region of Epirus. Brined and aged for over 90 days, our Feta is “a must” for a Greek Salad or Meze table. Use this wonderful cheese to add bright contrast to a watermelon and arugula salad. For an elegant warm flatbread, sprinkle our Feta over fig jam and basil and drizzle with aged balsamic vinegar. For a lighter option, toss our feta over flatbread lightly coated in olive oil, with freshly sliced tomatoes, olives and oregano – and heat until the cheese starts to melt. To add instant “Greek flare” to omelets, roasted vegetables, burgers, kebabs and fish dishes, or dips and spreads, just add Feta and oregano! An excellent source of probiotics, calcium and protein, Krinos Greek Feta is one of the lowest fat cheeses one can eat. It is also a core component of the acclaimed Mediterranean Diet. ❄️PERISHABLE ITEM❄️❄️ Perishables must be shipped using FedEx express shipping methods.
